Message 2 of Message 3 of I wouldn't be surprised at this happening in the States. It seems that almost everything over there has a cash-back offer. Usually if you can still find the coupon and haven't thrown it out, then 6 months after buying something you can claim your money.
We are starting to see that over here especially on car deals , but it's not particularly common. My belief, then, is in the States, yes, but over here, unlikely. Of course, I'm wrong quite a lot A smaller screen would only exacerbate this issue, likely driving away would-be converts. Finding a cheaper price point is certainly of interest to Apple. If Apple is serious about developing an international market for their iOS devices, they must find a way to lower costs. The second point, about how a change in screen size would affect the apps for the iOS platform, is an even stronger argument against a smaller iPhone.
Apple has relied on its robust app store to drive much of their sales, and development for iOS has in no small part been spurred by its consistency. Currently, the service offers cloud-based storage and syncing of some information, along with the invaluable location and remote kill switch for iPhones. MobileMe has faced additional pressure with the availability of many of its key services for free by other providers.

What do you think? Turns out that a big of poking around on Amazon. I checked that it was the latest version and that they had a good seller rating, and bought it. A few days later the box arrived with the all-important activation code inside, and after some exploration online, I figured out how to go through the MobileMe system to use that activation code to renew my membership.
