Long live the king. Having a black man as the hero of a major studio release was one thing; giving him this much swagger was quite another. I am Shaft, a new voice in cinema announced, hear me roar. Outside of this electric jolt of independence, the movie follows a fairly conventional noir plot. Similarly, the case brings him in contact with a Black Panther-like militant group that he also scoffs at.
Two years later, Wade returns and Shaft arrests him. At his hearing when the judge grants him bail, that's when Shaft throws his badge at the judge. He then sets out to get Wade by finding the waitress.
Wade in the meantime asks a drug dealer named Peoples Hernandez to find the waitress and make sure she doesn't talk. Still the man, any questions? Rated R for strong violence and language.

Jackson 's disappointment with the film, stopped any plans of a sequel, at least until Shaft Goofs In the flashback, Diane Palmieri has blood on both sides of her face, with Wade's fingers on her left cheek and his thumb on her right jaw. Presumably, she cleaned her cheek but not her jaw, leaving the spot seen at the beginning of the movie.

Jackson beating up a white racist Christian Bale and getting booted off of the police force. Everyone in this film is a racist - primarily the whites - and this whole idea is way too forced. The language and violence is rough, yet the film itself is quite goofy, with not many good scenes and only a few mediocre action sequences.
